Rave
reviews... Joan Day has
written an enjoyable memoir
Day writes of
homemade sleds; Monopoly games in which her older
brother played banker and invariably owned
Boardwalk; and other childhood memories of how she
and her three siblings loved scampering through
summers barefoot. John
Gregg, Valley News For those who
grew up in rural northern New England or those who
wish they had, Thinking of Yesterday Today
will have a coming-home feeling. Susan

ABOUT JOAN Joan Day began her
writing career in 2001 after retiring as a human
resources administrator for the state of New
Hampshire. She wanted to record her childhood
memories in book form so that she could share her
stories and teach others a little history of New
Hampshire. After many months
of reminiscing with family members and attending
writing seminars,Thinking
of Yesterday
Today
was published and today, is in its second printing.
In 2004 she published Sylvan,The Gift of
Unconditional Love, a story with a universal
message, focusing on the bond between a pet and its
owner. Joan is the younger
sister of Executive Councilor Ray Burton, who still
lives in the family farmhouse. Joan resides in
Concord, New Hampshire, with her
husband.
